| Yes, the Olympic Games officially open on 8-8-08, but the Games unofficially start 2 days earlier with Olympic Football/Soccer. The United States plays Norway on 8-6-08 at 7:30 AM ET. |  im still wondering about why football isnt an olympic sport? they call dancing around with a ribbon on a stick a sport, but yet no football.. i know its not very popular around the world, but its catching on in Europe.. they even have a league there.. so i bet within 50 years, there going to make football an olympic sport.. | |
