Here is my first trivia question, for now they are school related.

What so-called "war" spawned the dueling slogans "Better Dead Than RED" and "Better Red Than Dead" in the 1950's?

But "Better death than Red" was an anti-communist phrase. And it was used by the anti-communists in the United States to express their views on communism and politics.

"Better dead than red" was an anti-Communist phrase. The slogan was used in the United States in the 1950s by anti-Communists to express their opposition to Communism and left-wing politics.
