| Subject: Tutorial: "Bump Mapping" in GIMP Fri Aug 22, 2008 12:31 pm | |
| It's time for one of my favorite text effects in GIMP, it is also the easiest. It will give your text a great 3-D look! Here will be the final result: But.. if I didn't use bump map, it would look like... I like it better, if you do, then keep reading! 1: Type the text.. First, we type the text. When I use Bump Map, I always try to use a cool color, black will work fine, but I think the end product will look better if you choose a color. 2: Bump Map it.. Right click on the text, go to filters, map, bump map. 3: Simply.. Click ok! There you go, that's one more text effect you have under your belt! Try something new, and maybe you will find a cool new technique! That's it for this GIMP Tut! If you have any requests for the next tutorial, feel free to PM me. Until next time, Dude | |
