~ Pizza Awe thanks for your kind words but it is true only in my dreams. I am having a hard time learning all this photography stuff. I am on book 3 and does not seem to sink in. I have gotten lucky on a few shots but the camera is very big and complicated. I wish I could find a class around me to learn about this stuff. Bug

Bug I know exatly what you mean bug I just purchased a dSRL about a month ago and can't wait to take it on our trip to WDW this Sept. But like you said there is sooo much to learn. I have been reading "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson, and it has been very helpful, along with visiting a couple of photograpy boards. Oh and here is anohter pic from 06

| Hi, Just_Jim I have read that book. I need to read it again- my old mind does not retain information like it use to . Someday I may get my dslr camera figured out. I poked fun at my self at Disneyland in April. I brought the tripod and my "fancy" camera and set it all up to take night time pictures of the fireworks. Well 15 minutes before the show I was trying to get the settings correct on the camera. Well it went downhill fast. I could not get things right it did not want to focus would not take any pictures and I started to panic. As I was panicing i could not remeber any thing I had read. So i said to everyone with me: New dlsr camera- $800 Lens for camera-$800 Tripod- $40 Trying to look like you know what you are doing- Priceless Well on to todays picture. It is of Chip and Dale in the Christmas parade: Bug | |

| Love the monorail shot and all of the flowers....well I love ALL of the photos!! So glad for this thread! Bug, your "priceless" comment is, well, priceless, LOL! The thing I love about digital is you know right away if you got the shot or not (well, up to a point, I know when we get home and upload the photos we are our own worst critics...) but it also can drive me crazy. Our '06 trip was the first with a digital camera, I tried over and over to get a good night shot of the castle, no tripod and had just gotten the camera shortly before the trip. Needless to say, there is not ONE good shot lol. I've since gotten a much nicer camera (gift from my DH, he really wanted to get me a dslr because all of my film cameras had awesome lenses but I asked him please no dslr yet, lol) and have had time to use it to get ready for our trip, I know I still will drive myself crazy over some of the shots LOL. I will be thinking of your priceless comment quite often next month when I'm at WDW. Okay, my photo for today is from DTD in '06. We sat watching this Stitch "spit" at the passers by, lol. My daughter is a huge Stitch fan and we are huge pirate fans, she really wanted this Stitch to add to her collection, LOL! | |
